I do, but I think a list like this is probably a better example of what you were referencing: https://www.thatsister.com/best-citi...ilies-to-live/

Boston ftw.

Weird that Vallejo is a separate MSA from SF. It's 36 minutes away.

Memphis might actually be the worst city on this list, 47% black MSA and only 2% making over 200k/year. If we exclude the Grizzlies players, it would fall below Jackson and possibly Cleveland (which is only 20% black). Honestly, Jackson isn't in great shape either. However, it doesn't have the benefit of inflating the numbers by having pro sports teams... Most of the black wealth comes from natives which is more important IMO

Some of this may be a matter of cost of living as well. So, in some of these areas, you don’t have to make that much to do well/live relatively comfortably, while others you do have to make that much to live comfortably.

All very interesting. Just will add - this is why I don't fully buy the narrative about Atlanta. It's still a good place full of diversity but the data doesn't really speak to the narrative that people try to paint.

But Atlanta has more individuals earning at least $250,000 than DC does.

A household income of $200,000 may or may not be "high" depending on the size of the household. A household with 2 working adults and 3 children with a HHI of $200,000 is not that well off in any large metro area.

^This is a little old now, but could serve as a good measure of what is middle class by household size in an area: https://www.pewresearch.org/short-re...-middle-class/
