In the Rockies you have to worry about the risk for wildfires far more often compared with the Appalachians.

I had to vote Appalachians because I too like how green it is compared to the Rockies.

Spruce Knob, the highest point in WV, overlooking miles of green rolling mountains, is one of the prettiest places I have ever been. Love the upland bogs and moss-coated forests around there too.
