Los Angeles obviously they have

MLB:

Los Angeles, Angels
Los Angeles, Dodgers

NFL: (formaly)

Los Angeles, RAMS
Los Angeles, Raiders
Los Angeles, Chargers

NHL

Los Angeles, Kings

MLS

LA Galaxy
Chivas CD

WNBA

Los Angeles, Sparks

NBA

Los Angeles, Clippers
Los Angeles, Lakers

despite thye lost of the NFL L.A. still has alot of fans that are Raiders, Chargers, RAMS, etc fans, so theres still a large fan base.

Also I'll add that L.A. will get an NFL team in 2009

here's the details, there going to get a new stadium and all so yeah L.A. is a great sports town.

Boston, Chicago, and Indianapolis hands down

New York does have great sense of it's sports team, but the fans don't come near as rowdy, fun, drunk and obsessive as the ones I listed above

Honorable Mentions: Detroit, St. Louis, Louisville, and Milwaukee

boston hands down. people go on anti-depressants around here when the sox lose. Even our "pink hats" know more about sports than guys in other cities. And players are treated like gods here.

and just dont wear yankees gear in boston...

Everyone in Albuquerque is in some what way a Lobos fan, i freak out on how many people in this city support the Lobos by wearing all the shirts, hoodies, bumper stickers, and signs.. but some of the football games can be really dead..even if they have a great season..with a beautiful stadium that holds 43,000 as of last year, basketball thats a different story but its nice to live in a city where you see about 1 out of 6 people wearing Lobo stuff.

Btw Espn never even mentioned that the UNM Lobos CRUSHED San Diego State 70-7 the highest scoring game this year, and a mountain west record of the most points scored in a half.

Chicago and Boston seem to have the makings to make them "best sports cities", more so Boston, but not by much.
