i know..how do you think a lot of us feel who saw it on a regular basis? Well, at least we'll have a new skyline with the Freedom Tower in a few years.
u guys are so stupid. chi-town has a more beautifully mastered look. nyc is nice but very outdated. its only ur pride that leads u to such a dumb answer. with the addition of the chicago spire, chicago is really the best loking skyline in the U.S and maybe even the world. just because nyc is big doesn't mean its beautiful. truthfully, i think that it is an eyesore.

Here you go. That's a Chicago way of arguing your point. Only in Chicago and most highschools in the country.

Say what you want but its not pride when millions of people agree. Anyway the Spire will most likely not get built but the World Trade Center will.
Pound for pound Chicago is better. From a magnitude perspective, NYC is better.
Pound for pound? Chicago's skyline is uninspiring, all those post-modernist boxes do not stand a chance with the likes of Chrysler Building or Empire State. Those are unique pearls of architecture as opposed to postmodernist boxes you can in find in any city in the world.
But between those two... New York's tallest building was built when John McCain's father was still a teenager! Chicago, on the other hand, was building quite a few new and exciting projects, most notably The Spire (now on pause, darn). So in spite of being a bigger and better city, NYC's skyline loses.
