Houstan people dress nothing like people from Chicago...I can remember back in the early 2000's people in Chicago were rocking Old Navy and Gap Pea coats a lot and its just now within the last year or two I see people down here in this area wear them when it gets a bit chilly outside. For a min in Chicago it was a lil fad to pop the color on your polo up (before Kanye West started) As soon as Kanye West did it like a year later you have a lot of downsouth peopled doing it but when you see Atl people they don't seem to be too far behind as far as fads....Houstan=way behind or just completely lost..They definately don't dress like we do in Chicago
That seems like something that just started in Chicago.. and nobody else did it before people saw Kanye.. seeing how Kanye is from Chicago.
But honestly, I can remember people doing that **** here in Houston before anybody ever heard of Kanye West come on the radio.

In the age of technology that we are in, you do not necessarily have to visit a city to know what is fashionable there. I've been all over.. from L.A. to Houston, Dallas, New Orleans, Atlanta, D.C., Cinci, Philly, to Pittsburgh to NYC. It's not all that different from city to city. There are some different styles and whatnot, but it doesn't mean they aren't just as fashionable.
Nobody here in Houston would ever stop somebody and ask to take pictures in the Galleria because of the way they dressed. "Wow, you're so fashionable I have to take your picture". I could not ever see this happening, which is why I do not believe your story.

I'm not from Texas. I'm from New Orleans. I moved to Houston a few years ago. So I do not have much of an attachment to this city.
Unless the people who stopped you in the Galleria live in the country and do not come into contact with the rest of civilization, the I highly doubt somebody commented on how you dressed.
