In terms of culture, people, manners, food, etc. These cities are. not exactly North or South- but they are not cities people typically think of as "Southern". (esp St Louis/Cincinati)

I voted for St. Louis, because it seems most southern overall culturally. Doesn't seem very Midwestern to me. The accent there is probably the least southern thing about it.

I knew a lady from St. Louis who moved here to Richmond and said our 'accents" were so thick she could hardly understand us, lol
Baltimore IS northern so I can't say that it has a southern influence, and it reminds me of a smaller Philadelphia!!! Baltimore has it's own Northern-Southern Accent like the way we say dog is like dugg, and anything that has o in it sound's pretty southern so when we say can have twooo hot dugg's it sound's very funny!!! lol I talk plain but only when I say something with a ooo is when you can tell that I'm from B-more!!! lol
MD (Born in B-more, lived there from 0-6)
California (Moved to LA county at 6 moved away at 8)
MD (moved back to md to I was 12)
NC (moved to NC at 12-and I'm 16 now lol)
So I can pretty much laugh and pick on anybody because I don't have a offical accent, and since I live in the south you should know that I pick on people badly!!!

Yeah that surprises me, actually, since Richmond is so close to D.C. I would guess it's because of the old southern families from the Confederate days who live there. Indeed I'm surprised at how strong the Virginia accent can be.

100 miles seperate Richmond and DC, and somehow the cultural line for North and South has maintained around Fredericksburg.
However, DC was once considered part of the South too. But its like, the Northern edge of the South, so by today's standards, many consider it Northern, or Mid-Atlantic.
I chose Saint Louis. To me it seems to have the most Southern Influence
Thats ironic . I thought most people would not consider St. Louis even remotely Southern.
Kansas City , I would have even more Southern to it than St. Louis.
