I think LA, actually...people hate it, but it is also blessed in so many ways. I think people are also pissed off how f*cked up it's become ; beautiful setting ruined by the giant smog-filled mess of freeways and strip malls.

I would definitely say somewhere in Hawaii, I'd love to be from there. Next up would be NYC, Boston, and Chicago. I love all three of those cities and would love to have grown up in any of them.

I think people are most likely jealous of local larger cities. I know for me NYC and LA or Chicago are to far and to big for me even care about like that.

It appears that people are only jealous of particular aspects of what a city has to offer, except for New York. People are just plain jealous of New York City.

NYC - everything
San Diego - weather
Dallas/Houston/Atlanta - economy
Denver - location
Seattle - scenery

NYC - People are jealous of NYC because it's literally got everything you would ever want to have in a city. Other cities wish they had half the amenities and activities that NYC has.

San Diego - To each their own, I suppose. Though I know quite a few people who would kill to have San Diego's temperate climate.

Dallas/Houston/Atlanta - Just because they're not that much better than Colorado's doesn't mean that people (usually from other thriving boomtowns) are still jealous of how much economic attention those cities are receiving.

Seattle - There's more to scenery than just mountains. People from states who aren't as fortunate envy the amount of trees and greenness that is found in Seattle.
