Exactly my list, except San Francisco would be 5th.

The OP was right to include LA it does have a seriously underrated skyline, yet it's so familiar. Huh.

1. Chicago
2. NYC
3. LA
4. Houston
5. Pittsburgh

Atlanta's Skyline is not bad at all. I think it's close to being a top 5, if not number 5.

1)New York
2)Chicago
3)San Francisco
4)Philly/Seattle
5)Atlanta/Houston/Los Angeles

Las Vegas is impressive but offers little height, except for the Tower.

Houston and Dallas are good, but have not grown much in the past couple of decades, and for that they get penalty points in my mind.

Atlanta is impressive, but spreads out a bit much.

After NY and CHI, I think a number of cities are right in there. SF, SEA, MIA, ATL, PHILLY, BOS, LA. Then you would go DALLAS, HOUSTON, and then it drops off pretty quickly.

OK, you are there, I am not. Please show me major high-rises in Houston and/or Dallas in the past two decades. Enron? That one I am aware of.
Really don't mean to be snarky here. I just have not seen major high-rises in these two cities in the past couple of decades. I would certainly stand corrected if I am wrong.

It's cool, and yes you are correct none of them has added a very tall skyscraper because (a). the ffa fly zone aleast for Dallas, and (b). the economy. Both cities have been adding alot of density more or so infill. Uptown Dallas & Uptown Houston are currently in a construction boom as well in the metro areas of both cities. Hines got done topping off it's new building in downtown Houston which stands at 630ft and is planning to build another new tower in downtown Houston as well. Dallas just got done topping off a new luxury residential tower called Museum Tower at 560ft. which is located of the far westside of downtown where currently a new park is being constructed over the Woodall Rodgers freeway in which will link downtown Dallas to uptown.

I'm not sure if I could post links but if you go to Skyscraperpage & Skyscrapercity you could find out what is happening in almost every city.
