That's interesting. I think that Atlanta and Miami are much more fast paced than Houston. However, I think Houston is faster than Dallas.

From living in Miami and visiting Atlanta a few times, I find Houston more intimidating, not as friendly, and in a quicker hurry on the streets then those two. And I don't mean driving. Driving fast does not mean fast pace. I mean, I got to go where I need to go and I don't have to time to stop by and say hi to you at all. I frequented all of this in Houston than I did either city. I think Miami is closer. But Atlanta still has that Southern hospitality genteel about itself whereas Houston pretty much has lost it or is losing it, fast.

I'm still trying to get a feel for the "vibe" of Dallas/Ft. Worth and Houston. Houston feels like a southern city in some areas, and a bit like LA in others. I will also say that due to the climate and infrastructure, it felt a bit like Florida, especially when I saw a palm tree. The only way I knew the difference was the abundance of Lone Star flags and the brick houses. When I first moved to Tampa, many parts of it remind me quite a bit of Houston.

Dallas/Ft. Worth felt like this combo of the South, Midwest and the West. I can't quite put my finger on the place quite yet.

Head further south. Columbus, GA has even more pine trees than Atlanta. That's one thing that I like about here in VA the lack of pine trees made for a spectacular fall never seen so many colors. Atlanta has those pretty dogwoods they look nice in the fall and awesome in the spring.

Spain was like that too. I was by myself then so no one to talk to but I still took my time.

LA is fast paced because of the entertainment industry. The rest of these towns are as fast as molasses and not intimidating.
