A better battle would be Boston vs. San Francisco streetscape. These cities have a comparable streetscape. Seattle is second-tier in that regard.

As a Seattleite ... I would have to say Boston. Something about the air of solidity and history to go along with it makes it the standalone winner in my honest opinion.

Seattle has some VERY nice places and some simply photogenic places, but I love historical feels that the old East brings architecturally.

Yeah I'm a Seattleite too, but Boston is my choice for this one.

My present day opinion is that streetscape-wise, Boston wins easily...skyline-wise Seattle wins easily. Seattle especially wins on the natural backdrop. It's tough for any city in the United States to attempt to compare their background to Mt. Ranier.

P.S. What's up with the sudden rush of Boston vs. threads? Both new and revived?
We have someone by the name of Boston14 who is blasting the forum with Boston threads.
Could be someone trying to make Boston the new Atlanta on the forum.

You should make a thread like that, it would be a better battle.

Lol, I also noticed someone has been digging up all the Boston threads also.
agree. skyline-wise Seattle would trounce Boston...well trounce is too harsh. Boston has a pretty nice skyline too. let's just say beat

boston's skyline would be much much better without those damn nimbys/beacon hillers. ugh. so many great projects get scalled back or cancelled because of them.

Mmm, Boston has as an extraordinarily quaint streetscape with history etched in the roads. This is something that cannot be replicated in any West Coast city.
