Milwaukee: MKE, a lot of people in the Midwest refer to it as MKE.

Jacksonville nicknames:

Jack-N-Kill
Da' Bang Em-most people know about this nickname for Jacksonville even if they don't reside here
Duval
904

Also, most New Orleans residents call New Orleans N.O., The N.O. or Chopper City.

Even though most people would disagree i do know that the fellow angelinos wont!
I largely preffer to say "Los Angeles" than "LA" it sounds more "powerful" it gives Los Angeles such a good view spiritually and in a larger standard "more elegant"

but i like NYC, ATL

ABQ, Albuquerque

The Duke City, The Wonder city of the West, The Q and Burque.

The City's New Moto:

"A place where different cultures exist in harmony"
and then there is "Good for you, Albuquerque" .. hahah

I voted for ATL probably because of Outkast's ATLiens.... but now that I really think about it, Omaha has a pretty original nickname, especially in the neighborhood I grew up in. ONE (for Omaha, NE) or just plain O.
