Indiana could be a choice too, Lincoln lived there during his "boyhood". That said, of course Kentucky On an interesting note, Confederate president Jefferson Davis and Lincoln were born here less than 100 miles and one year apart
Not even a contest here.... IL all the way. The only advantage I can think of for KY is the Cumberland Gap, which I think is gorgeous. I just think IL is faaaar more cosmopolitan, which attracts me and keeps me here. Plus we have areas of the state which are gorgeous, too.
Looks like good ol' Abe would probably agree with me, too, God rest his soul.
Grew up in KY, moved to Chicago. Chicago hands down.
