LA weather for sure. I live in the Bay Area and we have a similar Mediterranean Climate as LA however we are bit colder by 5 to 10 deg and get more rain. I have a ton of coworkers from back east and the first thing they all talk about is how much better the weather is out in California. The one thing you can count on in California is having consistent weather, during the summer it's literally sunny day after day after after day with a few partly cloudy days at the worst. It was a bit funny the other day on the sports channel, the news media were interviewing new Raider football players new to California and they couldn't get over how it was practically the same sunny weather every day.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I like California weather because it is consistent and you never have to worry about freak thunder storms in the middle of the day during summer or really bad winter storms or hurricanes. It's sunny during the summer and it rains during the wet season and that's pretty much sums up the weather along the coast in Ca.

I'm sitting here trying to think of the good things that there are. LA is actually an interesting city in terms of weather. You can have breezy and mostly cool days on the coast and it can get really hot inland. I've been very critical of LA's mediterranean climate for many years. But the saving grace for LA is that summer nights cool off enough so that you can open up the windows at night and you also won't sweat when you walk outside. As for which of these cities has the better weather, the term better is really subjective. With all the things going terribly wrong here in LA, most people will say how great the weather is. I'd probably say that late November through early April in LA is the best time in terms of weather. After the long dry season begins, it can get really monotonous though.

I love LA's weather. I was one who use to think its weather was the same all the time but now that I live here I know its not. I think LA has 4 seasons, just not as extreme as back east.
