If you're visiting a city in the summertime, which is the best summer city?
And which is the best winter city?

Discuss!

If you want to find unbearable heat and humidity, NYC for sure, and if you want somewhere with low humidity and pleasant temps, Gatlinburg. (Summer)

If you want to find extremely bitter cold and snow, go for minneapolis, if your looking for no snow and pleasant temps key west or hawaii. (Winter)

Seattle is the best US city to visit in the summer, especially if you are coming from hot, humid areas. From July through September, there is virtually all sunshine, comfortable temps, and little humidity. Few US cities can offer this during this period of the year.

Are you asking from a weather standpoint? If so, Seattle is beautiful in the summer. For winter, Phoenix and San Diego come to mind. But then again, San Diego is great year round.

I never understood why people say from the Mid-Atlantic (NYC) to the US/Mexican border there's unbearable heat & humidity in the Summer, if it was so unbearable people wouldn't visit or live there.

For me I want to visit somewhere warm/hot in the Summer and warm in the Winter.

Honolulu, Miami, & San Diego in the Winter.

Most U.S. cities in the Summer.

Definately Seattle in the summer. Never rains, blue skies, temps in the 70's to low 80's. I like Los Angeles in the winter.

I would say NYC. There are always things to do in NYC, even at Winter.

Miami in the winter.

Chicago in the summer. Avoid some of the tourist spots and come experience the block parties, beaches, and local nightspot districts.
