Denver's metro is larger, but Milwaukee's metro meets Chicago's metro. My brother lives south of Milwaukee in Wisconsin, but his city is in Chicago's metro. Like I said, they meet.
I love Milwaukee my Father In Law lives there , and no disrepect , but if Milwaukee Meet CHI Metro Is Wouldn't Be 1.8 Million
Who honestly cares?, If people didnt like it they wouldnt go there.

We have Sandia National Labs.. Not many cities have a national lab.
We have Kirtland Airforce base too..
And guess what we are still one of america's fastest growing too
Regardless of how "small" our metro may be we are still america's 33rd largest city.
