man this is like a trip down memory lane. I'm a late eighties baby so I started listening to hip hop when the west coast was poppin ( i started ealy lol) but i dont really remember everything from that time. Anyway this made me realize how much the radio sucks. I This was only like 8 -10 yrs ago but the music has changed so much. There was so much variety back then but now all the songs sound the same. lol Even party stuff like lil jon & bone crusher was better than alot of stuff now. I just think there needs to be more variety.

NYC, hands down. KRS, Rakim, Wu Tang (nobody can touch the GZA lyrically), Big Daddy Kane, Kool G RAP, Nas, Biggie, the Lost Boyz, Jadakiss, Gangstarr... no other city comes close.

I honestly agree with you(begrudgingly).Or It might just be more evenly from the different regions it not back to NYC.I don't expect any more places to really be relevant in the industry any more than say,NYC,Atlanta,Chicago,L.A. are as of today.

I agree with you, I think it will be evenly split, you can already tell that it's starting to shift from just the South, I'm starting to hear more artists from the North and the West being played.
