Strange Fruit Project was pretty nice, I liked it. But the other 3 were ok, imo.
I'm a huge fan of underground stuff - Group Home, Jeru the Damaja, Afu Ra, Company Flow, etc... but they have that increible lyricism element to 'em all.
My post wasn't just to get you to like it. But to tell you that what you have heard on the radio coming from Texas is only accepted by current teenagers the past couple of years. Most people over the age of 21 (maybe 25) do not listen to that nor do they accept it. BUT record companies and radio stations do not market their material to people over 25 and as a result, what you see (and hear) is what you get when it comes to the masses. Again, this isn't a regional thing anymore. This is national as garbage is starting to come from other areas as well including New York. BTW, the group Street Military that I posted is one of the most popular groups in Texas and has a huge following on the West Coast and Europe.
