You are the first person I've ever known to express a desire to visit Armistead Gardens. Believe me, it's nothing special. It's not particularly dangerous or anything, just nothing worth seeing. But hey, if you still feel like satisfying your curiosity, go for it!

Honestly I can't tell it apart from Norfolk or Virginia Beach or any of the other Tidewater cities. They all just kind of blend in together.

It's an overhated city. Could definitely become like Bend if people continue to not like Seattle.

Whew chile...love hate is the best thing to describe it. The city has a beautiful setting, earthy people, and a very interesting history. What is lacking includes a list of things former peers have added over the years including jobs, shopping, amenities, and population growth.

Eau Claire, WI

Was historically a rubber/tire manufacturing city, has a large Hmong population (being close to the Twin Cities). Passed through on I-94 a couple times, never stopped there.

I actually went to Eau Claire once(en route to nearby Chippewa Falls, and going on the Leinenkugel(sp?) Brewery tour), and the city did look nice. Also a nice downtown, too.

And for the few times I've street viewed Jacksonville, it seems like it'd be an okay city to visit, but not sure if it lacks a little bit somehow (more like that I wonder if I wasn't street viewing some of the nicer parts of that city?) or if that isn't the case. And maybe I overlooked street viewing some of the nicer parts of this city? The view south of that main north to south bridge into its downtown(looking north to the Modis building, or whatever its called today) looks nice. Along with the Five Points neighborhood, southwest of downtown. Jacksonville is one of those cities I want to do a LOT more google street viewing of, to get a better idea how it's like. Maybe someday I'll even visit?

Silver City, NM

Almost a hidden gem. Off the Gila National Forest in SW NM. A nice charming old mining town with great climate.

Visited family there countless times, but they all lived in the north suburbs (Carmel, Zionsville area) so I've rarely gotten to see much of the actual city. I like the Irvington neighborhood, nice old houses and a cool arcade bar with actual game consoles.

New York, NY

Nice town. When I was in high school (Lawrence KS), my animal science class went to Kansas State as a field trip.

Never been to Hattiesburg, but its name makes me think of its inhabitants as genteel Southern belles with their bountiful, beautiful headgear.
