I don't know if it is but I can definitely see it being one of those towns that explodes during COVID: away from major population centers but not a small town, fairly cheap, low crime, close to outdoor recreation. Has the fastest internet in the country IIRC, so I'd probably move there if I were moving to Appalachia and couldn't do Pittsburgh (important for my line of work). I like that they invented their own font and use it on everything, more cities IMO should cultivate personal brands like that.

I wish it were a little closer to Reno, so I might prefer the northern parts. Overall, it isn’t too big, but still not too small.

I know nothing about it. I just looked it up on Google Maps and it's a suburb of Idaho Falls. Idaho Falls is basically the "big city" gateway to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Park. That's pretty much all I know about it.

Longtime home of a famous watch company that also gave its name to NBA star Baylor, whose father owned one.

Pullman, Ill.

A far south side Chicago neighborhood, with nice architecture and also was once the site of railroad and streetcar production in the 1st half of the 20th century. It's kinda like an island neighborhood, as the surrounding neighborhoods haven't fared as well in recent years (i.e. Roseland, etc). If you are ever down there on a side note, I LOVE going to Old Fashioned Donuts (technically in neighboring Roseland, but worth a menation IMO) to get donuts and apple fritters(they sometimes sell out of these, I'll note) there. I wish Argus Brewery in Pullman had survived(IIRC they closed pre-COVID), and not shuttered.

Old-school, blue-collar inner-ring suburb. My mom (defense attorney) had a few clients down there when I was a kid. Don't think I've ever really visited, just passed through it.

Joliet, IL

A smaller city, southwest of Chicago. The famous prison seen in the movie The Blues Brothers, was in Joliet. Also home to Saint Francis College, 2 casinos (Harrah's and Hollywood, the latter casino used to be called Empress, but had a fire and didn't reopen), and a pretty nice residential neighborhood (always forget the name of it) close to St. Francis. And Home Cut Donuts is a decent local donut place, as well.

Small town, only a few hours from Las Vegas, and also close to Zion National Park. Hotter weather and milder winters make feel different from the rest of the State (much different vibe than SLC). Not much to this town though (besides it's proximity to National Parks). Also Brendon Urie's birthplace.

I remember Joliet from the movie "Rudy".
