Being Black in Los Angeles is more dangerous than in Chicago far as the murder rate.
Those of you who never been to LA, you gotta understand, Los Angeles has never been a city that had a lot of black people. Ever. This stuff matters when you're talking about historically black street gangs. LA's worst decade was the '80s. That's also the decade that LA had its largest black population at 16.7%. Chicago worst decade was the '90s, when it was 40% black:
80s: Chi 39.5% black, LA 16.7% black
90s: Chi 38.7% black, LA 13.3% black
00s: Chi 36.4% black, LA 11.4% black
10s: Chi 32.9% black, LA 9.6% black
Hey I think you're misinterpreting what I said. The numbers I posted are for LA County as whole not just LA, so the black population is much higher. Both Chicago and LA County had about the same amount of black people so there is no excuse to explain why blacks in Chicago accounted for more murders than blacks in LA County other than the fact blacks in Chicago are just slightly more dangerous.
Los Angeles County in 1992 surpassed New York in murders easily and also for the entire decade.
Last year's 2,589 homicides, based on a tally by the Los Angeles County coroner's office, was up about 8% from the year before and represented enough slain people to fill the downtown Ahmanson Theatre to more than capacity.
L.A Times 1992
Here is the thing with those numbers which I already clearly explained. All homicides reported by the coroner do not count as murders. Homicides and murders are different. A homicide is not neccessarily a crime. Murder is a crime. So that is not an official murder count. The only city to ever surpass 2,000 actual criminal murders is New York. LA county hit its peak in 1993 with 1,944 murders. I already post the official murder counts for LA County. Go back and reread them. Not one year did LA County surpass 2,000 murders.

(CNN)Here's one thing you may not think about when landing at Los Angeles International Airport: Just 11 miles away sits the biggest jail system in America.
With an inmate population the size of a private college and a budget just north of $700 million, the L.A. County Jail is as sprawling and as complex as Los Angeles itself.
That's bigger than Rikers Island & Dade County jail combined.
When you talk L.A,it's best you also include the county because the Crips took over damn near every city in the L.A area.
Gangs from every city meet up in the L.A County jail system,
1 street separates L.A city from Inglewood, so if an L.A Crip crosses the street to commit a homicide, you're telling me that doesn't count because the body dropped in Inglewood ?
The Harrison district on Chicago's west side has more murders than Oakland in 2016 with 5 times less population.
Oakland
Population: 420,000
Murders: 88
Murder rate: 21 per 100k
Harrison district (Chicago)
Population: 74,000
Murders: 94
Murder rate: 127 per 100k
Also, even Chicago as a whole had a higher murder rate per capita than Oakland.
Didn't the Panthers set up shop in Chicago before ?
Black Panther Party
The Black Panther Party of Chicago emerged on the city's West Side in the autumn of 1968. As one of 45 Black Panther chapters around the country, the “Illinois Chapter” gained over 300 new members within four months of its founding because many young black Chicagoans identified with the Panthers' militant denunciations of*racism, capitalism, and*police*brutality.

L.A county also had 2,401 murders in 1991
L.A county dropped more bodies than other states combined.
This shouldn't even be an argument.
The all time Black homicide rate in L.A is 368 per 100k
