I moved from the SF Bay area to DC and to me DC is faster paced. It seems everyone is in a rush to get to where ever they need to be. Even in the grocery store people are rushing to jump in line and people jump from one line to another just because it may seem to move quicker. I notice it more during driving when drivers will not let you pass - very annoying - especially when it's an elderly driver probably driving to a game of golf or to visit a frient at a retirement home.

NYC area is the same thing as Long Island. Nyc "area" typically means the entire metro area. Do you people really think DC is faster paced than NY? I never heard of a DC minute, lol. It seemed quite a bit slower to me all the times I was there.

DC compared to NYC isn't a little slower, it's a lot slower. LOL. NYC is the king of all and there is no comparison to NYC.
I'm surprised SF wasn't listed because that's fast paced as well.
^^I've been to many cities, and I think the one that comes second to NY in pace of life is Las Vegas.
Las Vegas. LOL. Only on the strip and eveyrwhere else is dead. I think we're talking about fast pace as a whole.
My Picks in order:
1. NYC
2. Tie between Chicago, DC, and LA - but LA slightly higher, especially considering the cold months affects DC and especially Chicago to be slightly slower due to weather. DC ranks high because there is a big connection between DC and NYC - thus a lot of traffic back and forth between the two cities.
3. Tie between Boston and SF
4. The rest I'm not so sure.....but I would think places like Houston, Atlanta, Philly, Seattle and so on are high on the list as well.

Have you ever left the LV strip?
