I don't like the gambling aspect of it,I can recall Miami Beach voted against casino gambling, when I was younger I thought that this was an opportunity to bring Miami Beach back up to the status it once had back in the 1960's. I thought the city had made a big mistake but today it is one of the most popular tourist destinations worldwide and it didn't need gambling casinos to achieve their success. I just feel gambling brings crime and corruption, the mafia is usually behind it and their are people who gamble their life away become penniless and end up homeless or committing suicide. That is not to say you can't come to Vegas and take in a show ,eat at a nice restaurant and be impressed at the millions of lights but that allurement of gambling is there even to the ones like me who don't like to gamble. It is like satan is tempting you.
I guess my question would be ,how popular would Vegas be if they eradicated gambling all together?
Then we can safely say lets leave Orlando to the children and Las Vegas to the adults.
We went back to Orlando last Memorial Day after 20 years when our kids were little to meet a former coworker of my husband. Ironically, he moved to Vegas area years ago. We went to Sea World. That would about be it for an adult to do. I do like Waterparks, but the weather in Florida is just plain too hot for me.
I can think of a lot of things adults could do in Vegas, and INDOORS.
