I like both cities but I think I prefer San Francisco. I would probably place both on my list of top 10 cities.

I can't believe it's 226/140 in favor of San Francisco. I guess Bay Area folk got nothing better to do than sit around here voting for a second class city. Hell, maybe even third class. As they say in Cali: whatever!

SF is a desirable city while Philly is one of the least, hence the difference in real estate prices. Comparing beauty unmatched by any thing in the east to a sewer like Philly a bit delusional. Compare Philly to other crime ridden war zones like Baltimore and Detroit not SF

The diversity on just about all spectrums,the energy, and the size Center City Philly is not to be underestimated.Overlooked because its 80 miles from NYC but if Center City Philly were located on the West Coast it would be the cultural mecca of the entire western part of the country.
