I wasn't aware of Sandy Springs being number 1 either. I would have said Johns Creek or Alpharetta myself.

Thanks! West University is what I meant in my previous post.

No way is the Woodlands the wealthiest suburb in Houston. That title should go to the Memorial Villages. And if we are talking about the far out suburbs I would think Sugar Land would rank higher than the Woodlands.

I agree. Lots of athletes and some celebrities live in Sugar Land.

Yes, I believe 30327 straddles SS and Buckhead...30328 is Sandy Springs proper.
The main problem with SS is the profusion of older, low-rent apartment complexes that line the Roswell Rd. corridor. The Woodlands and South Lake don't seem to have this problem.
Downtown SS is a zoning nightmare IMO, also steps are being taken to remedy this.

Agreed. The Memorial area in Houston would be a better comparison to Sandy Springs than The Woodlands. Now, The Woodlands and South Lake definitely compare. And I wouldn't really call West U or Bellaire suburbs of Houston. Those are more urban enclaves. Especially West U, since it isn't even outside of Loop 610.

Ok, I thought Buckhead was much more impressive than Sandy Springs. The homes in Buckhead are very nice and many are very large.

Sandy Springs is one of the funniest suburbs I've seen in my life. If you drive up the main street Roswell Rd you wouldn't think that it was a affluent suburb, but turn off that street, more than 10 feet and you see beautiful mansions and homes. And the Sandy Springs Area of Hammond which some call the downtown really needs to be redone, its a nightmare at all times of day.
