Both have nearly identical people per square mile at around $27,000... and similar building density. About the same in regards to urbanity. But man.. did Haight Ashbury creep me out when I was in San Fran.
Just remember, though...Lower Haight and Haight/Ashbury are two very different neighborhoods.

Just picked two random neighborhoods that seemed similar...Both are close to bigger, more trendy areas (Haight/Ashbury and Wicker Park), and both seemed to feel similarly urban.
I think streetview is a cool (although very limited) way of exploring neighborhoods, just meant for fun...
know both of these well, no need to look at pics. def lower haight.. wicker park or bucktown might win though.
