Dallas is currently building a iconic bridge in Dallas!
That's... interesting.
I honestly think it's too big for it's surroundings to the point of overbearing tackiness.
The GGB is a magnificent monstrosity over a huge bay with a rocky mountainous backdrop; That new Dallas bridge will just be a random monstrosity in an area with low height structures.
That bridge would look great in position of the George Washington bridge. It would have the NYC skyline, the NJ Palisade Cliffs, and the half mile hudson river gap to help it level it out. (And I'm not saaying I rather have that new Dallas Bridge over the GWB)
The Brooklyn Bridge compared to the Golden Gate Bridge to me is like a typical East-West comparison like that made in the Great Gatsby...Old Money vs. New Money. It's all about which you prefer better. I like the East because of all its history and culture...I like the west because of how new and booming and prosperous and progressive it is.
yea anyone saying the brooklyn bridge is a homer.... i lived in france for years and the Golden Gate Bridge is by far the most known bridge in the world
ask anyone in a foreign country to name both bridges and i bet the brooklyn bridge would stump most people..its just a big grey ugly structure
lol brooklyn bridge looks nice... from far away, and in pictures. once ur on it though, looks like a rat cage.
