Increase-Cleveland, Buffalo, St. Louis, Detroit, Phoenix,

I feel like L.A.'s crime rate has nowhere to go but up. As I've said before, malfunctioning public schools + increased illegal immigration + disappearing middle class = crime.

^ hasn't LA's crime rate gone down significantly the past 10 years or so? I think this year it's dropped by quite a bit.

Chicago's is down around 10% this year, and by well over half since the 90's.

Lets be realistic and actually state the truth and not what we want to believe. The sunbelt is going to be booming for awhile, as well as NYC.

What I just forgot though is that as the sunbelt cities continue to get larger and safer, the suburban areas around them will probably, and are already seeing increases in crime.

The sunbelt also has some of the most dangerous metros.

Well M'waukee's crime rate has been dropping for 3 straight years now. We had a low of 71 murders from the old Milwaukee norm...130.

Violent crime plunges in city; Partial-year figures show 17.8 percent drop; homicides may not reach 100 this year | Article from The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel | HighBeam Research

The difference is the sunbelt cities cover a more larger area. Of course, you have exceptions though.
