I don't know whether you are using the word ignorant to refer to the person or the opinion. I am not against people expressing their opinion ignorant or otherwise, as long as they aren't expressing these opinions in my classroom or in academic papers.
The people of course. An opinion can't think, so it can't be ignorant. This is getting off topic, though. We need to continue this elsewhere.
Okay? That keeps them from being ignorant? Don't think so. All I'm saying is that the title should be changed. When people try to have their own opinions of something like this, they just look silly.
It isn't my job to judge who is and who isn't ignorant. My only job is to make sure that my students back up their statments with facts and evidence. I believe that the person who developed the thread get to decide what it should be titled just as when you develop a thread you get to decide what to title it. As far your believing that people who "have their own opinions of something like this, they just look silly," you certainly are entitled to that opinion.

No, but see this is not an opinion sweety, this is what I know. There's a difference. If you describe a red circle as blue, you're going to look silly.

Interesting how whenever people reply to your posts, you mention that things are getting off topic, the need to return to the subject or to continue the discussion elsewhere

I take exception to your calling me "sweety." No matter what you say you know, you are still expressing your opinion.

You don't seem to frequent this forum, so I'm going to let that one slide and assume you don't know the rule of off topic posts being deleted by the moderators .

I am aware of the rules and if the moderator feels the need to delete the post so be it since you've contributed considerably to moving the post off of the topic.
I'm surprised Miami isn't on the list (though I probably wouldn't select it) or even San Diego (when considering places like Tucson and Omaha are on it?)

Yeah, except that you didn't push for it to be moved back on topic.
