Hampton Roads is not a city.
Its a bit disingenuous to present it as such given the nature of this thread and the fact that this is in the city-vs-city section.
But, if you insist on including the whole region, instead of just the city, add Quan (rapper/singer famous for "Just A Moment" with Nas, Tonedeff (originally from HR, specifically NN), the rest of the Neptunes, Nicole Wray, Danja (producer), BLACKstreet, and a few others I'm forgetting..
But again, they are from various cities within the region of Hampton Roads...
Blackstreet is out of NY...where did you get VA from?
I see, I was just asking because of your screen name. But getting back on topic, the hip hop from NYC, New Jersey, and Philadelphia will always be the best.
Philly's most popular rapper was Will Smith and he made a song called "Welcome to Miami".....interesting to say!!!
nyc is known for h and m, uniqlo, supreme, blue in green soho (where we have samurai, studio d'artisan, etc.), atmos, dqm, bape, niketown, etc.
nice style, tho.
dc style is pretty unique and nothing like anywhere else in the south IMHO, tho.
I dig Blue & Green in Soho, last time I was in NYC i copped a mean pair of grey N&F's there that I must admit you could not find anywhere down here and I killed 'em with it. People were always asking where I got them from. And I will give yall credit, there are allot of items you can find in NYC that you really cant find anywhere else. And I went to college in DC and their style is very unique. I just dont like how in the winter everyone looks the same with Nike boots, dreadlocks and North Faces , but aside from that I dig their flavor...actually on the low DC is the only other city I could live in besides Atlanta
Yeah he doesn't know any better, he just scanned youtube and saw that Fleetwood sitting on 26's and figured "hey thats hip hop". I guess he doesn't know that allot of the hispanics in Miami under the age of 35 look, act, and dress just like the blacks down there, along with Pitbull being a reaggaeton (mispelled I think) artist. Even my dad knows what kind of music Pitbull makes.....
