A little vague...dominates what??? Economically, politically.....???? I guess overall it would be very close to a draw.....but New York by a hair.

In this case, California is more than equal to New York state. When comparing states, no other state can come close to California in almost every category. In fact it would be more appropriate to compare the state of California to the entire East Coast & it would still come out ahead in any comparison except population.

California easily. California vs Texas would be a better comparison, but Cali still wins no matter what.
