Which of these two regions of the west do you think is better? The LA-SD-TJ corridor, or the Van-Sea-Por corridor? The bay area is out of this discussion as it is somewhere in the middle, but we are going international including cities from Canada and Mexico that are very linked to US cities.
For me, I'd much rather live in Cascadia, but love visiting the SW for a break during the winter.
I'm not totally opposed to the South either....I love living in Seattle, but could easily see myself in LA too (albeit it would have to be certain parts of LA) so should be interesting to see how this plays out.
The cities in Cascadia are more walkable and compact. Politically, it's also closer to where I'm at...so I would choose Cascadia. Although would enjoy visiting Soutland...
I voted for the Cascadia region. The cities here are just as a whole a lot better then the southern cities IMO. I love seeing stunning ice capped mountains from literally my back yard. I think the PNW has easily the most beautiful scenery in the entire US.
I grew up in the PNW and currently live in the Southland.
I think the PNW is much more beautiful - Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver are all more attractive than L.A. in my opinion. At the same time though, there's more to do in Southern California than just about anywhere else. I could live in both.
I grew up in the Pac NW and nothing could get me to move back but I do recognize that there are many redeeming factors.
LA is one of my favorite cities, SF is one of the most beautiful and amenity packed cities in the world, and SD though overrated is a great great place to live as well. The weather totally tips the scales for me and I voted for the Southland. I don't know if it is fair that I used SF in my argument for the Southland though.
