I know some large American cities don't have much if any television crews filming but some cities are the focus of TV programs even if the show is actually filmed somewhere else.

I like "Entourage" on HBO because is shows so much of Los Angeles and the California lifestyle.

Anyone else have a tv program about their city?

Many of the classic sitcoms were filmed in LA/Hollywood. However, oten times the opening credits, showed scenes from the actual city where it was supposed to be located. Here are a few examples:

1. Mary Tyler Moore (Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN).
2. Bob Newhart Show (Chicago, IL)
3. All In the Family (New York City - Queens)
4. Seinfeld (New York City - Manhattan)
5. Taxi (New York City - Mahattan)
6. Chico and The Man (East LA)
7. Sanford & Son (Watts)
8. Golden Girls (Miami Beach)
9. Cheers (Boston, MA)
10. WKRP in Cincinnati (Cincinnati, OH)

All in the family took place in my old neighborhood just a few blocks away.

They show my neighborhood a lot in the opening credits Astoria, NYC. 30 seconds into it.
