San Jose has the best downtown! At least from the physical stand point(building/infrastructure).

I was in dt LA tonight and saw at least 6 new restaurants coming soon. The 7th & Fig project with a new Target is u/c. The Broad Museum of Comtemporary Art is u/c which is moving fast next to Disney Hall. The ice skating ring is going up at Pershing Square. Stopped to take a look at the Wilshire Grand Hotel which will be demolished in January to make way for the giant Wilshire Grand Project. Things are looking up.

Wow! Awesome, the advent of the Wilshire Grand Project will give DTLA
a huge boost!
and are you serious about the ice skating ring!
It seems awefully aerlier, we might still have some warm days, I'l' check it out next weekend.

Here you have some aerial shots of Los Angeles older historic core

For the skating ring there were men taking material off of trucks at Pershing Square. They said it was for the ring which they said will open by the middle of November.

I loved Center City when I was there. Reading Terminal market was amazing and so were the museums. Rittenhouse Square was amazing with all of the artsy types hanging out there. Walnut street had pretty good shopping and the area had some good restaurants. Center City had a lot of amenities packed into a small, concentrated area.

Pittsburgh has the most underrated downtown area I've ever been to. The green hills, the rivers, the bridges, the mix of new & old architecture. They have done amazing things with that town in the past 30 to 40 years. It's what Detroit could have been had anyone cared.
