With 11 murders so far, DC is on pace for an unfathomably low 87 murders this year. That rate won't hold, as all of the snow during the past two weeks has made it really difficult to kill people. Still, it would be great if the pace this summer continues the downward trend.

As of 02/04/10, Tijuana is at 126 murders for the year so far. As of 02/10/10, Ciudad Juarez is at 286 murders for the year.

The city of Nogales Sonora, which sits on the U.S./Mexico border with Nogales, AZ, is even more out of control for its respective size. As of 02/14/10, Nogales is at 59 murders for the year so far, with a population of approx 159,000. It's murder rate for the year is at 37.1 per 100,000.

So far this year in the scary, crime ridden, hellish streets of the City of Atlanta there have been two homicides.

Double checked the APD crime map and two news outlets and it verifies. Looks like we're on track to have an even lower number than last year.
