Of the most discussed U.S cities on City-Data, which one do you feel is the most insecure in terms of their national and international standing. In other words, what city do you think works hardest to maintain their "image?"
I want a look at the city overall, don't focus on which cities have larger skylines relative to their population!
A poll is included because I like them .
On a side note, I'm very clear that Dementor will probably pop up on this thread with some bogus account named TheNativeChicagoan or something. Just ignore him/her or whatever it is.

I think the most insecure cities generally speaking are ones that lack very clear images, to the point that many of their own residents either don't know their own city's image or don't want to really be associated with that image. Also, these cities tend to have virtually no identifiable image to outsiders. For example, when someone thinks of Philadelphia, an image pops up, usually including the Liberty Bell, cheesesteaks, maybe Rocky running up the steps of the museum - this creates an identifiable image of Philly being historic, cultural, but also blue-collar and a bit rough. But people can identify Philly with certain images and an overall image. There are some other cities which lack this kind of image, and those are the cities with the most insecure residents, most of whom get angry when someone doesn't know about "The Statue of the General" or some other local landmark that is largely unknown outsidie of that city.
It will be interesting to see how this poll goes...
Houston, for sure. For some strange reason, I'm gonna say Chicago is a distant second.
