Well, if you take out the "Jersey shore types", New Jersey girls are an attractive bunch. Same for Manhattan.

The "Jersey Shore types" are FROM NY, not NJ!!!! New Jersey Girls are smart/educated, pretty, and most have a sense of humor and are real characters. Definitely not boring (as I find many southern girls to be, and West Coast as well).

A lot are, but a lot are also from NJ.... Whenever we make generalizations they are never as true as we make them by generalizing. Anyway, a lot of the "Jersey shore types" are actually incredibly beautiful; the TV show does the majority of them no justice by having 3 of the ugliest ones I've ever seen on that show.
But the prettiest girls I've seen are in NYC - they may be from all over, but there are tons of them and they're stunningly beautiful. Most of them are educated, also.
