Check out Pinellas County on the Florida Gulf Coast. You have beaches stretching the entire length of the county and there is not much down time because you have visitors year round.
Keep in mind if you look at northern beach resorts you will not be making much during the winter. Other northern resorts you should have decent year round business if they are set up to go year round, some areas will shut down for parts of the year.
You also need to look at your cost of living in each area. Some of the most beautiful areas you will have to live a good ways away because of the cost of housing close by.
In Pinellas you can find 2 bedroom apartments under $800 right by the beach or less if you went the other side of the intercoastal.
I would agree with most of the above comments…Florida, particularly south Florida resorts like Miami Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Naples, Key West, Palm Beach…etc are the most beautiful resort areas on the US mainland.
Florida is still the number one tourist destination in the USA.
are you asking what cities have the most beautiful resorts, or what cities are beautiful that have resorts in them?
This person is looking for the best resort town as to where he can apply for a bartender job and on her days off have a nice place to go for nature and scenery.
Not to further derail the topic, but the guy said Florida--your list is only ranking cities. If NYC only barely beats out Orlando, then how would it beat out the rest of a state driven by tourism?

Palm Springs is in the middle of a desert, so I wouldn't recommend it as a resort city.
