Virgina and West Virginia are considered eastern. There is no "north" region on the map.

I've made many moves and lived in 3 big metros, and all have been within my own region (western). Moving once again within my region this July. However, proximity to family and friends has been the main reason why I haven't moved to a new region. Each region has some cities I would love to live in.

I live in Eastern. I grew up in Northeastern Pennsylvania and currently reside in Northern Virginia. I will die here in Eastern as well. I want to give Winchester, VA, Boston, MA, and Pittsburgh, PA each a shot potentially for several years before I settle back down in Scranton, PA at some point. If I DID have to move?

1.) Eastern
2.) Midwestern
3.) Western

4.) Southern

1. South (Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Mississippi, Tennessee)

2. West (Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Arizona)

3. Midwest (South Dakota, Missouri, Rural Michigan)

4. Northeast (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont. Everything else is sickening in this region)

I do love the South though...however at this point in my life, I want to be in a large, dense city.
Agree with living in density and europe, and I will add it to mine:

1. Eastern
2. European
3. Southern
4. Western (SF and SEA only)
.

5. Midwestern (CHI only)

by the way, i'm southern.

^ Born n' raised Texan & damn proud of it too!!!

The only other places I could ever see myself living would be California, Florida, or Hawaii. Native Texans such as myself rarely if ever leave this great state however.

I feel you on this one. Having lived in TX and FL myself, those 4 states TX, Cali, FL, HI, would be my top 4 states, add NC(where I live now) and those would be my top 5.
