Lakers and Dodgers - but they do lack a NFL team - that still boggles my mind - Jacksonville FL has an NFL team and LA doesnt

Its funny you mentioned Jacksonville because the Jacksonville Jags will probably be the franchise that moves to LA....lol.
The Jags arent a bad team, but down there in North FLA that is Gator country big time. Most people have loyalty to the Blue & Orange before the NFL team

Speaking of PHX sports vs. LA sports, the Suns play the Lakers in about an hour.

LA.
The LA teams have more history, prestige and the fans seem to be better.

Phoenix has the 3 sports most important [NFL\ NBA\ MLB] while Los Angeles does not. There's no excuse and football fans are pissed in LA. NCAA football is great w/ 2 superb university teams but no pro team & that sucks! Two basketball and baseball teams provides LA with plenty in those sports plus hockey and WNBA. But the Chargers are 100 miles away.

Looks like Phoenix is getting dominated right now. Wow, that was an amazing 3rd quarter run by Kobe!

Keep it up Lakers!

It's not that the Lakers are playing superbly, it's that Phoenix is sleeping right now.

Admittedly, the Lakers and the Suns both have really good records at home.

I was surprised at how many 3 point shots Nash has missed. I'm still wary of underestimating the Suns, so I hope the Lakers keep on their toes

I've been pretty embarrassed by the Suns tonight. The play MUCH better basketball than this.

I was surprised as well. I was expecting a MUCH better performance from the Suns, but was pretty dissapointed at the typical blow-out game.

Looks like the Suns 6 game run was stopped by none other than the Lake show!

Too bad I am here in the Bay Area right now (where its cold and rainy...) I'll be back in my home city to truly cheer them on. I can already smell a victory parade

Hopefully Game 2 will be better. I mean, the Suns usually have a high shot percentage. I don't understand what happened here.
