I'm not a fan of the pulled pork thing either. But give me the rib (dry or wet) and the brisket. Nobody can do brisket like Texas.

Parts of South Carolina.

What do you all think of St. Louis Style Ribs?

Now, THAT is true, Spade. But you gotta admit (or at least might go so far as to say), there are off-the-beaten-path BBQ joints in East Texas that 'que pork to beat the band.

I never had East Texas pork. I also think that since so many other states do pork, there maybe some stiff competition when it comes to that. But when it comes to Brisket, nobody touches Texas with a 10 foot pole.

i hope the texans don't attack me, but does anybody else here think that RUDY'S Barbecue is just average in taste, and a bit expensive? i've only been there once, and wasn't overly impressed. i mean, i EASILY prefer my stepdaddy's ribs over theirs. and he doesn't even really barbecue them. he just tosses them on the grill with some seasoning

Not a fan. It's a chain for a reason. If you want a quick fix, it isn't bad, I guess.

Atlantagreg was unable to change the poll, but the first post should now say "Kansas City" thanks to his edit.

Apologies to all the Kansas City lovers out there!

BBQ is serious business.
