There are several styles not mentioned that do exist so people can know about, it is either in types of meat and/or sauce that are different.

Western North Carolina (tomato-vinegar sauce)
Northern Alabama (mayonaise based sauce)
Owensboro, Kentucky (use of mutton)
St. Louis (sause intermediate between KC and Memphis, also uses pork steaks that cooks in the sauce in a pan while cooking)
i hope the texans don't attack me, but does anybody else here think that RUDY'S Barbecue is just average in taste, and a bit expensive? i've only been there once, and wasn't overly impressed. i mean, i EASILY prefer my stepdaddy's ribs over theirs. and he doesn't even really barbecue them. he just tosses them on the grill with some seasoning
I think any true Texas barbecue afficionado would agree with you wholeheartedly. Rudy's has convenient locations are good for barbecue if you just HAVE to get some. But the very best stuff is in either Lockhart or Luling.
Thank you. Honey mustard BBQ sauce is the best I've ever had, by far. So damn good. It makes me happy that I'm not in Carolina anymore because if I were, I might be 30-300 pounds heavier.
