Hello! Thank you for taking the time to look! We are looking for people to join our website as Tour Guides, read on for more information!

Vacay Pro is a brand new social networking site that aims to connect travelers with knowledgeable locals for a more individual travel experience.

As a person to person tour site, we focus on a more social and informal travel experience. More like meeting up with friends in a new city rather than hiring a professional tour guide. You don’t have to be a professional tour guide, you just have to love meeting new people and sharing your interests! We are looking for people all over the world.

Travelers will be able to search for guides based on interest and location. As such, if a traveler has a specific interest that you share as well, you can show him/her the best place to do that activity in your hometown.

Vacay Pro is a completely free website to use, and as of currently we offer no compensation for our guides.

When our travelers do meet with guides, we encourage tipping. Any compensation agreed upon is between the traveler and the guide and cannot be discussed publicly on our website. See our Terms of Use for more information regarding compensation.

As we grow, more opportunities will be available to our guides.

Do you want a chance to make some extra cash? Do you love meeting new people and showing off your hometown? Become a guide with us!

Must be at least 18.

If you are interested join us at :

"Vacay Pro is a completely free website to use, and as of currently we offer no compensation for our guides".

Politely put, you get nothing unless your tourists decide to pay you. It is private between you and the visitors. In my opinion you will probably work hard and get little in return. It you can afford it, though, it might be fun.

Hello, thank you for your interest!

Unfortunately, we don’t directly offer compensation for services. As stated that’s between you and tourist, we would suggest not outright charging for tours. We’d hope that travelers would treat their guides well, such as tips and free meals.

We’d like Vacaypro.com to be a platform where travelers and locals can meet. It’s more of a social experience for people who loving meeting new people can do so in a situation they might not have before. We want people to connect for better travel experiences, to meet new friends, or for networking opportunities. And it doesn’t have to cost anything for you, imagine it’s just like spending a day with friends who share your interests.

We, of course, hope to offer more incentives for guides as our community grows.

This wording is deliberately misleading. People aren't stupid. At least not the kind of people you would hope might respond to your ad. Why purposely make this sound like a job opportunity when it's not?

You need to work on your marketing techniques, unless you're intention is to come across as misleading.

If this is what you'd like it to be, then why don't you promote it this way upfront? The way you did it only casts red flags and SCAM warnings over it.

Why couldn't you put the information in your second post in the first post to be very clear about what this "opportunity" is? If you did, you'd have only the right people getting in touch with you and wouldn't have to worry about how you're going to tell everyone seeking a job that it isn't a job at all, and that there is no pay.

It would have been more honest to say:

"This is a free service for travelers to connect with local people for the mutual benefit of social interaction, networking, and/or sharing the local flavor of the area. As of right now, we're unable to offer any form of compensation to our guides. All compensation, if any, would be voluntary on the part of the travelers you meet and would likely be in the form of tips or free, shared meals together during your tour."

After the initial wording of the ad and then reading your explanation, I would advise anyone to stay clear of this completely. Not only is it deliberately misleading for the "guides," you're putting pressure on the travelers to tip and pay for meals. And you're pretty much telling the "guides" to expect it. This can ONLY lead to sketchy, untrustworthy relationships between the two.

Horrible and misleading marketing is going to kill this before it has a chance to start. And if it doesn't, lawsuits that follow because of what happens between travelers and guides BECAUSE of your marketing surely will.

Thank you plain and simple for your post.

I have sent you a message, hopefully you don't mind!

We weren't trying to mislead or be untruthful but we do have some re-thinking to do.

My apologizes.
