I'm loving these quotes lately! From the article:

"We are eager to build on our existing investments in Northeast Ohio and excited to be part of the urban renaissance in downtown Cleveland, which is in the midst of a sweeping and exciting transformation," Barry Zyskind, the chief executive officer of AmTrust, said in a written statement.

EDIT: Calfee had a similar quote today:

Calfee's nearly 300 employees are slated to move into the renovated space at the end of this month, occupying 100% of the 115,000-square-foot building, which will carry the law firm's name.

We're really part of the revitalization of downtown Cleveland,” he said. “Look at all the things that are happening a block from where we're standing.”

More good news for Downtown Cleveland! How are we getting all this positive news almost every week on real progress? Clevelanders aren't going to know what to do with themselves here pretty soon.

I'm not sure if anyone noticed this, but those 300 Calfee workers filling the previously empty East Ohio Gas Building at the end of this month were previously located at 800 Superior Ave, Law firm Calfee to move Cleveland headquarters, 300-plus employees to former WKYC building | cleveland.com which has freed up a space large enough for the incoming 1000 workers. Folks, we're seeing two buildings become full in basically only two swoops, injecting a nice amount of "feet on the streets" in a part of downtown that has been lagging. Soon nearby, a Westin hotel renovation will be complete and the Med Mart/Convention Center will be finished.

Pretty exciting stuff. A lot of headlines have been centered around holding onto jobs we arleady have. But bringing new jobs into the area is exactly what we need. Wonder if there will be more to follow.

Congratulations LoveCleveland#1 on your company's good news. This is going to be so great for downtown. I was worried when Calfee and Key left that building, but it looks like it's going to fill right back up.

Now if only my employer would move from Independence to downtown, then I would be really happy...lol.
