I would agree with this. I think the "rectangle" more or less, between 40th, 55th (maybe a bit past there, and continuing to slowly move east) St. Clair and Superior is a stable area that while is not the more visually attractive, has pretty much zero crime and enough amenities to get by, with 2 rec centers in walking distance.

Cleveland is connecting to its lakefront areas. The closer to the lake, the better. Look at the west side, although it doesn't have the baggage of the east side, strong growth along the lakefront.

I would say the east side has good access to the lakefront, although the lack of connections between 55th and 9th is stunning. But the marina/pier at 55th, and then the lakefront nature preserve at 72nd I think it is, and then once you head further east you get the Bratenahl connections, as well as the huge Euclid Creek reservation and its associated things along Lakeshore Bvld there.

Sorry to get off topic, but while we're talking about East Side lakefront connections, I just want to briefly rant about those giant low-income apartments right on the lake, on the site of the old Euclid Beach amusement park in Collinwood. That's prime real estate, and could be luxury apartments if they were built today. Instead they're crime magnets. Another thing that needs to go is the crappy trailer park situated between Euclid Beach and Villa Angela, also prime real estate. What were they thinking in the 60s and 70s?

Those are low-income apartments?! I assumed they were fancy high-rises! Yeah that is bad, although the Euclid Creek Reservations feels very safe.
