When projects need names like "Opportunity Corridor", you can almost guarantee they're going to be incredibly lame.

Do you think there are better alternatives to the OC, Cleverfield?
Then build more mass transit... which has a lower subsidized cost and will actually promote real revitalization and redevelopment.

Wait, the CC and UC are not accessible by car?? This is definitely news.

Build the corridor its far better than the status quo
But roads don't actually bring development (at least not the type in question here), and this one will not, either.

Apartments in the works for dormant Avenue District Townhomes development
By STAN BULLARD
July 08, 2014 10:45 AM

Long-dormant development embers at downtown Cleveland’s Avenue District are about to reignite.

Plans to install 108 apartments in nine low-rise buildings at the site of the Avenue District Townhomes, as the project was called, are scheduled for architectural scrutiny at Cleveland City Planning Commission’s downtown design review committee meeting Thursday, July 10. The Avenue District Townhomes site is between East 14th and East 15th streets and Superior and Rockwell avenues.

Now, now...just because Cleveland won the 2016 RNC is no reason for your snarky tone. You know what the post meant; get over the fact that Cleveland pulled this off and Columbus was kicked out in round 1. I mean any city can make a bid but the ''have no interest or the can't handle the convention' cities go out in round 1. Maybe the DNC will go to Columbus; I doubt it, but who knows?

LOL...here you are again bashing Cleveland development projects within hours of the RNC announcement; and yet you're in the RNC topic forum congratulating CLE on its win. You must be going crazy that Cleveland won since you're in here bashing the OC...LOL.

Translation here is ''this corridor is going to open up UC, one of the nation's top cultural centers, to job, economic and population growth''...which is not what jbcmh81 wants to have happen in Cleveland, especially after around 12:00pm today when the RNC announced where it is going in 2016.
