I received a notice today that my appeal for a parking ticket was denied and I must send a check in for 50 bucks or file an appeal and forfeit 59 bucks.

First off, never received a ticket, secondly, I haven't been to Cleveland in 10 years. Is this something that happens regularly in Ohio?

It's from the Parking Violations Bureau/Photo Safety Division. Should I assume they have a photo of my car in violation?

Can't wait to call them on Monday and find out WTF is going on.

In Pa the state police send you the photo with your ticket if you violated where there is cameras.

Awhile ago people in Pittsburgh got tickets from Philly and some had never been there or like you, hadn't been there for ten years.

A guy from Chicago recently posted that he got a ticket for parking during No Parking hours and his car was in his driveway.

$50 is an expensive parking ticket. Where did they say you parked?

It gives no specifics, just that my appeal was turned down.

It turns out it was an HONEST mistake. When I got through to the authority they realized they wrote down the wrong license plate number.

However, my wife was out of town that weekend with her sick mother and I was home alone. Even the most faithful of men, like myself, look suspicious when something like this pops up. I'm thinking of photo shopping a picture of my car in front of the Rock n Roll museum and mailing it to my wife.

I just received a ticket in the mail from Cleveland Parking Violations for a no stop for $45.00 and I nor my automobile have EVER been to Cleveland.
I live in New York State.
So I want to know where to go with this obvious scam too.
It is either scam artists or a desperate city going to illegal lengths to generate funds.
Good luck to you

Possibly do your states license plate color look similar to Ohio's in Black and White photo? I think the computer assumes the plate is local, running the plate number comes back to you-a human being deciphers these photos-thus the mistake.

Appealing in Cleveland for parking ticket? No way. Seriously. No mercy. It is a waste of time. For obvious reason, nowaday from credit card companies to state/cities, forgiveness has been kicked out.

What I mean is the guy that actually tried to appeal, not you.
