I am hoping that someone here will be willing to help an out of stater with a request for pictures.

One side of my family is primarily from Ohio (originally Germany).. there are two places in/around Cleveland that are named after my family.

The first that I would like a picture of is Osterland Co at 2148 Scranton Rd. Though no longer owned/operated by the Osterland family (as far as I know) it still carries the name and has been around for some time.

Secondly, there is a doc also named after the Osterland family. I am not able to find much info as far as the particular location of this doc. If there is any plaques or signs that is really what I would like a picture of.

This may sound like an odd request for pictures, but I have a book of family history and I think these would be good to add to my records.

Thank you to anyone who is willing to help.

I would really like to visit this part of Ohio one day as there are many relatives in the area and many buried in the area.

Don't get out Scranton way much but if I think of it I will grab a camera next time I am out that way.

Found this through quick Google search:

"The Yankcanuck was unloading salt at the Osterland Co. Dock just North of the West 3rd Street Bridge. The vessel has no self-unloading equipment so a hydraulic excavator mounted to the ships deck was being utilized. The excavator was equipped with a large clamshell bucket."

I don't have a picture of it, but here is the google maps streetview of it:
Osterland Cleveland, OH - Google Maps

Most the pictures for Cleveland on streetview are from around Halloween of last year so these are pretty recent.

A Charles E Osterland also came up on google maps as an attorney who's located at 5389 Royalton Rd, North Royalton, OH‎.

I had not thought about using Google (or Bing) maps.. thank you.

I am sure you will find many Osterlands mentioned in/around Ohio...most if not all are related.
