Upstate NY to NC Coast Area(s)

Living in the Newport area would give you beaches, good schools, and hospital. The hospital in Morehead City is about 15 minutes from Newport. I've heard that Croatan High School is between 2nd and 7th in the entire state of NC. There record on NC School Report Cards is impressive. The middle schools are right up there also! Good Luck!

Greenville might be worth considering. It's a moderately sized, but growing city. There should be plenty of construction activity for the foreseeable future. If I'm not mistaken, it is also home to a large teaching hospital (Pitt County Memorial ?) that is part of the local University's school of medicine. Of all the cities you mentioned, Greenville would probably have one of the best job markets for your needs. I've heard mixed reviews about Greenville's quality of life, but I don't have any first hand knowledge. Perhaps someone who's lived there could comment.
