Do people have a favorite spot on the beach close to a certain parking area? We have 2 little kids, so a parking area closer to the beach might be better.

Again, thank you all for your great suggestions in advance.

We always liked the public parking area just down from the Oceanic Restaurant- nice public walkway right to the beach. Has restrooms and a shower area plus can use credit card to pay for the parking.

Wouldn't the Coastal North Carolina forum be a better place to get answers to this question?

That's where I park too. Can't beat it, and as long as you get there early the lot won't be full.

Remember: pay! Wherever you park, the City of Wrightsville Beach has very aggressive enforcement March 1 through October 31, 9 am until 6 pm. I've been there at 9 am on March 1 and watched them issue tickets.

I agree with this, although I prefer to go a little farther down the same road and park at either Kure Beach or Fort Fisher. Free parking on almost empty beaches, and they're just as beautiful as (if not more so than) Wrightsville.
