I want to go on October 6th. With my daughters cheer practice and husbands work it will be our only opportunity. She lives the water and playing in the sand...I assume its too cold for bathing suits. she loves gettIng in the water also. I
Just happy being there . Anyone with children ever taken them in beginning of October and did they enjoy it? Thanks.

I'll be coming down to the Atlantic Beach, Morehead City area for some fishing, looking forward to it, quiet, good fishing, friendly folks

The water is likely to be warmer than the air. See this chart: Weather - The Outer Banks - North Carolina

I'd bring my bathing suit, but not sure of your tolerance.

My husband and I absolutely love October on the Crystal Coast! We come down in July also and noticed right away how different the sunrises and sunsets are in October as opposed to July. The hazy mornings in July are lovely and humid. But ... ahh ... October ... gorgeous colors intense over Mother Ocean! Enjoy your trip! We will be there on the 19th.
